1. Who we are (Data Fiduciary)
The Data Fiduciary responsible for processing your personal data on this website is Automagnet , with registered / business address at . Clavitek (or any website developer/hosting vendor) acts only as a service provider / Data Processor where engaged by Automagnet — they do not decide the purposes of processing.
2. Personal data we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may process:
- Enquiry / booking details — name, phone number, email address, preferred studio/city, service of interest, and any message you send.
- In-studio customer and vehicle work records — name, phone number, vehicle make, model, registration number, work performed, attendant, amount, visit date, and cover duration, maintained as part of studio operations and books.
- Consent records — time of consent, notice version, and limited technical metadata (IP address / browser) used for accountability.
- Privacy rights requests — details you submit when exercising rights or raising a grievance.
- Essential technical data — server logs needed for security and operation of the website (not used for advertising profiling).
We do not operate customer accounts, payment cards, or analytics/marketing pixels on this website today.
3. Purposes of processing
We process personal data only for these purposes:
- Responding to enquiries and arranging detailing appointments.
- Communicating with you by phone, email, or WhatsApp about your enquiry or booking.
- Maintaining studio job history, customer vehicle records, and business books for operational and accounting needs.
- Operating and securing the website; fulfilling legal obligations.
- Handling Data Principal rights requests and grievances.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use enquiry data for unrelated marketing without a fresh, specific consent.
4. Consent and notice
When you submit the contact / booking form, you receive an itemised notice and must give clear affirmative consent (unticked checkbox) before we store your enquiry. You may withdraw consent at any time with comparable ease via our data request form or the contact details below. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully completed.
5. Your rights (Data Principal)
Under the DPDP Act, you may request:
- Access to personal data we hold about you.
- Correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Erasure of personal data where required by law, subject to our legitimate need to retain studio records and books for the lifetime of the business (and any other legal retention obligations).
- Withdrawal of consent for consent-based processing.
- Grievance redressal — we aim to respond within a reasonable period not exceeding 90 days.
To exercise these rights, use our data request form. You may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India after exhausting our grievance process, as provided under law.

7. Retention
- Website enquiries: retained for the lifetime of Automagnet’s business operations (and longer if required by law or an active dispute).
- In-studio customer and vehicle work records: retained for the lifetime of the business to maintain detailing studio records and books; these records are not subject to automatic deletion.
- Rights / grievance records: kept as needed to demonstrate accountability (typically at least 1 year).
- Security logs: retained as reasonably necessary for security and incident investigation.
8. Sharing and cross-border transfers
We may share data only with:
- Authorised Automagnet studio staff handling your enquiry or job.
- Service providers that host or maintain this website (under Automagnet’s instructions).
- Authorities when required by law.
When you continue on WhatsApp, Meta Platforms processes that conversation under WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy (may involve processing outside India). Map embeds on the Locations page use Google Maps. We self-host website fonts to avoid unnecessary Google Fonts requests.
9. Cookies
The public website does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
The admin dashboard uses an essential session cookie (AUTOMAGNET_ADMIN) for authenticated staff only.
10. Children
Our services are intended for persons aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data, contact us for erasure.
11. Security and breaches
We apply reasonable security safeguards (access control, hashed admin passwords, CSRF protection on admin actions, prepared database queries, upload restrictions). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. If a personal data breach occurs that requires notice under applicable law, we will use available contact channels and notify the Board as required.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date and notice version above will change when we do. Material changes affecting consent-based processing will be reflected in the enquiry notice.
